The highs of YouTube

I released a video Monday on the de facto California diesel engine ban starting next year through 2035. I interviewed a few experts and didn't think to much about the story. I mean, I know the topic is controversial and with the recent election results pushing back against EV mandates, I figured I'd get some clicks, but I was NOT prepared for the last few days.

That video is the fastest one I've ever seen hit 50k views. It is nearly an hour long!

These photos are the behind the scenes for yesterday and today.

Daily views for the last 30 days.

I’m not surprised at all. I listened to about 15 minutes of this video and it was really confusing for me at least. I started glancing at the comments and right away I could tell it was a hot potato full of anti epa anti government 💩. If you want clicks just throw in a reference to the EPA and you’ll get your earful. I’ve left social media and other YOUTUBE channels once it turns into political hate speech, anti EPA…
That sucks it was confusing to you. I was really, REALLY trying to be a source to end the confusion. However, I would say, the people I talked to are confused as well. It seems nobody truly knows what is going to happen besides it is going to a sh*t show while it plays out.

Interesting video. One thing I did not hear discussed, and maybe it was out of scope, is how will a diesel ban affect the agriculture industry. Agriculture is still a big industry in California. I'm guessing here but I doubt that John Deere and CaseIH are going to be mass producing farm equipment that isn't diesel powered any time soon.

That’s a really great observation. I wish we’d had talked about it.
