In a statement late Sunday night, Stellantis CEO Tavares resigns over differences with the board of directors ending his turbulent run as the head of the company. Stellantis CEO Tavares resigns The resignation, effective immediately, will certainly shake up the company in the near term. Carlos Tavares pushed the automaker to adopt more electrification, improve plant production and focus on quality in the past few years. These plans were often met with resistance from consumers, and sales at Jeep, Ram, Dodge, Fiat and Chrysler have all declined over the years including a startling 20 percent drop in the 2024 Q3 […] (read full article...)

I was also wanting to post this too, Dusdaddy.

The big questions I have are does this mean that are the individual brands saved from execution or being hurried up death row?

Will they lower prices across the board and go back to the economic demographics they used to cater to or continue to try to go upscale?

I agree that they probably can’t make many changes in the short term. Ram used to be the value brand (IMHO) and that translated to a lot of sales. It will seem like Tavares leaving helped the brand in the short term if sales continue to rebound as more desired models become available. Hopefully they will continue to offer incentives.Tavares sure seemed like a big mouth type of CEO who liked making grandiose statements to the press. Long term, Stellantis still has a lot of brands that don’t make a profit. They need Ram and Jeep to find a way to keep making money.

I remember when they said that when Lee Iaccoca asked for a loan. They got it and paid it back well in advance.

Because of that we got the Dakota, Ram 1500, Viper, Power Wagon, Prowler,300, SRT, Hellcat, Demon...

Imagine what we could get next .
I get it but this is specifically for EV plants. More subsidies paid by the middle class for the rich.

Listening to the UAW workers commenting on this ,sure would make me think twice about purchasing a Stellantis product .
I just watched a Detroit TV station video with them talking. I'm not concerned myself, but it definitely gives you pause. Besides, more issues equals more views! LOL

Wow, over 18,000 views and over 250 comments on the Stellantis video. Nice job. Just hope the employees don't get messed over
with the changes that are probably coming.
You should read some of those comments. People are pissed off. I had to stop reading due to all the hate going on.
