The CEO of Lithia Motors wants to sell more older cars and trucks at their dealerships. They also want to charge more for them.

Personally I don't see the positive in this. They're going to sell these cars as-is and most buyers who shop in that range are looking at price point first. Going to a dealership heightens expectations. I see lot of frustrated buyers walking out, typing mean reviews.

I think there's also the business benefit of having more customers on your lot and you can create a connection for when customers want to upgrade in the future.

Definitely some pros and cons to their strategy though. It would, though, be nice, to find a quality used car that has had a dealership mechanic go over and have some sort of good feeling after you buy it.
