Toyota Rav 4 outsells F150 in 2024

I read an article talking about that and it was really difficult to parse, they said what you just said but then in the article talked about how the F-150 itself was passed by something else a while back (10-15 years)

In this article Ford is being pissy as usual and touts the "F series" truck still being #1. It's funny and I'm surprised GM hasn't made commercials or ads giving them shit about it because the GM twins combined have outsold the F150 for a bit now.

Ford isn't happy lol

All I know is Ford is pissed off about that analyst. The only people that really know are agencies like S&P which used to be Polk auto data. Interestingly, they won’t sell that data to me. I’ve asked several times and even offered to buy it.

So it begs the question, do people buy a specific brand of vehicle because that company sells the most vehicles or that it won some specific award??? 🤔 I certainly don’t even consider those things.
Actually some people do that. I’ve seen it plenty of times. It is like rooting for the Yankees because they are the best. I have loads of friends who play PRO-V1 golf balls because they are “the best.” Even though they don’t have the swing speed that the golf ball needs to perform its best.
