Paint Rubbing Off Tailgate

Hello,

I’m wondering if anyone else has paint rubbing off their tailgate anywhere near the top spoiler area?
If so, have you done anything to resolve it with Toyota under warranty?

I noticed this starting to happen on mine, 4000K miles and 1.2 years old. It due into service in August so I was going to see if they can look at it. In checking some older forum posts some had the body shop put some pads on to keep the "Tailgate Garnish" away from the paint. I think that the technical term for that plastic piece.

I wish I could find out what they used. Unfortunately Toyota Canada is currently refusing to modify the vehicle other than returning it to factory condition.
