MUD FLAPS

No, I’m not talking about my butt cheeks.🙄
My 2023 Sierra 1500 came with what GM calls splash guards. These are really ineffective and by no means cover the width of the tires. I had installed a set of Westin side steps and whenever I go through wet or muddy conditions the tires throw a whole bunch of mud and debris up onto the steps.
So I recently installed a custom set of Gatorback mud flaps that are specifically designed to fit my truck. These flaps are 12” wide and are made of 1/2” rubber and are predrilled to fit into existing holes in each wheel well. It took me about 3-4 hours to install. They are not cheap, however, they do block the mud and stones that in the past loaded onto the steps. They also block stones from flying into the vehicles behind me which is a big problem in NM. I’ve included a couple of photos.
