Just saw this post up at NHTSA. Apparently, the tranny may downshift on its own unexpectedly and at high speed.

I saw that as well and need to dig into it more. Sounds like part of a larger problem and NHTSA wants Ford to recall more vehicles than they have already.
I remember riding in a brand new F150 work truck that had horrible trans problems. We were driving around in traffic with heavy equipment and the damn thing shifted to 1st when we were doing about 45 mph. I thought it was gonna blow up from over revving and the ass end skidded because it was muddy. Not a good situation. I'm pretty sure it was a 2011 though.
