Arriving home after about a 250 mile trip I noticed that my “CHECK-ENGINE-LIGHT” was on. It’s on the extreme lower right corner of the DIC so it’s not immediately obvious at least in my seating position.
So, made appointment at a local dealership (not the one I bought it from). In the interim I found a GM TSB 23-NA-071 that was issued for the LZ0 in April 2023. I had purchased my truck in December 2022 so this update of the ECM had not been performed.
On the way to the dealership the CEL turned off but I took it in anyway. Long story short the CEL was a P0402 which was just as the TSB update specified. There was nothing wrong with my truck just required update to ECM.
Of course it was covered under warranty. I’ll include a copy of this TSB. Just thought I would pass this along.
