The GM Mexico truck plant is getting an extended shutdown time period and with trade tensions, as well as labor concerns, has people wondering about its future. GM Mexico truck plant shutdown extended The Silao, Mexico plant builds the Chevy Silverado 1500 and GMC Sierra 1500 trucks. In July, the plant was shutdown for two weeks and that isn’t so unusual for GM.
