I took a look at the 2024 Tacoma inventory listed on their website this evening and this is what was shown within 500 miles of my zip:
  • SR: 28 units (4x2: 17, 4x4: 11). SRP Range $35,374-$41,393
  • SR5: 94 units (4x2: 4, 4x4: 90). 8 Long Bed. SRP Range $42,359-$52,485
  • TRD Sport: 65 units (4x2: 8, 4x4: 57). 4 Long Bed. SRP Range $42,946-$54,948
  • TRD Off Road: 46 units. 6 Long Bed. SRP Range $45,364-$57,322
  • Limited:13 units. SRP Range $54,275-$55,535
Total Tacoma units shown: 246

All of them show as "Vehicle is in build phase. Contact dealer to confirm availability date." A few already show additional dealer markup while others show selling price matching the SRP. Some also show as "Sale Pending."

I can't believe an SR5 can be priced at over $52k and a TRD Off Road at $57,322. How much more when the hybrid is available? How much will a TRD Pro or Trail Hunter cost? $60k-$65k? More? The cost of some packages really adds up quickly. No too many Limiteds allocated within this radius but the price range is tight so I guess there are not many options, only accessories.

Here is a screen shot of the SR5 at $52,485:

I thought it was interesting to see a breakdown of what is coming here first. Who knows how many are really pre-sold or what the mark ups will be? It will be interesting to see how this all plays out. Good luck to those waiting for one to arrive.

In 16 I bought a Tundra dbl cab trd off road for 37k. I would never pay 50k for any Tacoma. How silly

I found a 2021 Tundra Limited Nightshade CrewMax that I was interested in about 3 hours from here. Dealer will not sell to out of state residents. I don't get it. I agree, $50k for a Tacoma is a bit much.

@testerdahl I searched for 2024 Tacoma models within 250 miles from Gering, NE. I found the following:
  • There are only five (5) trucks listed
  • SR 4x4 Double Cab in Underground with SRP of $38,525
  • SR5 (does not live drive type) Double Cab in Underground with SRP of $41,965
  • SR5 4x4 Double Cab in Underground with SRP of $43,364
  • TRD Sport 4x4 in Underground with SRP of $49,455 (estimated availability of 1/3 - 2/7)
  • TRD Sport 4x4 in Wind Chill Pearl with SRP of $53,879 (estimated availability of 12/29 - 1/30)
Do you plan on flying down to Texas again? I wonder if you will have more selection. Good luck.

I’m working with the regional sales rep for the Midwest and the plan would be to fly to Kansas City.

Bought a 22 Sport 4x4 last November for just under 40 and the previous month my wife got her an off road for 41500 I can't believe how more this generation is.

I don't know....my son paid sticker for his 2023 last fall, and it was a nicely equipped Off-Road with the manual for $46K. And just today we looked at a '23 Sport 4wd that was $49K. I built a 23 Sport then a 24 Sport online and they end up being about $2500 different. I'm willing to pay that much for the new tech and equipment. Overall, everything is too pricey regardless of year but until the buying slows down and rebates start up again, I don't see it changing.
