Yeah I know they addressed it by saying the single cab sales are low but I do think they should have offered a single cab version. Those single cab 5.0 f150s are pretty nice.

I guess it's more of a feeling while driving. Seems like it could use more passing power to me. It has been awhile since I've been in a 2.7 ford though so maybe id feel the same about it now.

Seems like the 2.7 has been pretty good. It's underpowered vs Fords 2.7 and Rams 3.0 but I actually think it's in a good spot. I'd worry if they keep adding more power... Can they keep bearings in it?

I wonder how many times carbon build up happens and is diagnosed as a failed engine, or valves? I think depending on the quality of fuel and oil you use can have a major affect on carbon build up. I get the that manufacturers say they don't see the issue but why would they admit to seeing any...

Buttons. That's the one think on my 2023 ram I don't like is the giant screen. Manual transmissions would be awesome but id settle for buttons.

Id love to know how the manufacturers decide on a oil spec. Evidently the HO needs heavy oil and the SO can use thin. The same was true of the run of the mil 5.7 vs high performance hemis. I'm sure it's something to do with bearing load vs surface area. I wonder if the ho and so use the same...

Congrats! Mine just rolled over 260k. I got it the same way blew a head gasket at 225k. I was lucky on the head though.

Id probably get a ram with a off road package. At this point I think I'd get a hurricane truck but that would be hard to find used. Other than that I'd look for a f150 with the 5.0 and a 6 speed trans

I get both sides of this and most of what you guys have been saying is how I feel on it. The only thing id add is repair costs are crazy high these days. I'd like to see warranties go even longer to account for that. I worry more about these transmissions than the engines myself. I'm pretty sure...
