    Over the lifetime (14,500 miles) of my ‘23 GMC SIERRA 1500 I have had 35 REGENS with a mean distance between REGENS of 369 miles. The included bar graph shows the distance between REGENS. As best as I can figure 75% highway miles and 25% city driving.

    If people could actually see the fine particulate emitted by ICE vehicles they might change their tune. It’s sort of like I can’t see the asbestos particles but 20 years later you might feel the effects.

    Whenever I purchase a new vehicle (like every 20 years) I do a very early oil change then go by the 6 months or 5,000 miles intervals. This usually satisfies the rough service schedule as well. Never had any engine issues over 50 years.
