GM 6.2L V8 Engine Issues Worsen: Post Remedy Engine Failures Lead to ODI Recall Query

Sure, but how many failed after receiving a whole new engine? The crappy part for GM is if the new oil viscosity doesn't "fix" enough of them, that's a whole lot of new engines.....

Ram Quality Problems Explained by CEO and Self-Inflicted Mistake, Why the 100k Mile Warranty Matters

It makes even more sense if what Tim says about brand loyalty. If those new Ram owners switch loyalty so their next truck will also be Ram that's even better.

Ram Digital Key Still Not Working 2 Years After Debut? Company Promises Fix Coming, Soon?

Well this seems to be moving forward, unlike their other tech promise, the 2KW invertor. I see that has completely dropped off their website. Too bad, that would have been something actually useful.

    Nissan is totaled

Well that just sucks. Hard to tell but it doesn't look like the damage went as far as the cab. Could be fixable.

2027 Ram Power Wagon Cummins Diesel Arrives, Finally Fixes Flaw with DIY Winch

Exactly. HDs with crew cabs and long beds do not make the best off roaders.

2027 Ram Power Wagon Cummins Diesel Arrives, Finally Fixes Flaw with DIY Winch

To me it seems like a very silly combo but I'm sure they'll sell some. Mostly to mall-crawlers.

2025 Toyota 4Runner Limited Review: Turbo Power, Modern Tech and a Few Trade-Offs

If I had that kind of money to spend, I think I'd add a couple thousand and get the LC instead.

Consumer Reports least reliable midsize trucks for 2026

Could be just too small a sample size for them? The Ranger & Gladiator are not exactly big sellers compared to the GM twins and the Taco. Even the Frontier is selling better than the Ranger.

Right to Repair Laws For Fixing Your Own Vehicle Battle Grows with Federal Bill and Maine Wildcards, Will Automakers Win?

It does seem the biggest argument against right-to-repair is privacy concerns. OEM shops are somehow going to be somehow much safer for consumers' private data than independent shops. I find that rather hard to believe. The OEM response is to not "turn-on" the telematics devices in the states...

CONSUMER REPORTS LEAST RELIABLE FULL-SIZE TRUCKS FOR 2026

I'm on my 3rd hemi and I'll probably go with the V6-quad cab for my next one as well. I just don't need anything bigger anymore. I'm only towing about 4-5K now and that V6 has a max tow 200lbs from my hemi. The lower price combined with better mpg is just too good to pass up. I've found Laramies...

CONSUMER REPORTS LEAST RELIABLE FULL-SIZE TRUCKS FOR 2026

Love to see each brands position and how it's changed over the last 5-10 years. Has Ram always been last and has Ford always been #1? I don't think so. They move up and down seemingly every year that the actual reliability of all of them cannot be far apart from each other.

That color does look good. Especially with the black trim and a bit of red from the GMC badges.

RV Camera - Poor mans version

Nice! Great way to do it and much cheaper. I did something along those lines when I bought one of those CarPlay screens for $100. They come with a front dash-cam and an additional back-up camera. My truck already had that, so I mounted the camera on the back of my trailer. Ran a $10 extension...

All new trucks are junk these days?

Agreed. You have no way of knowing how long a modern truck will last. Besides, a 1970s truck compared to a 2025 truck? That's like comparing a simple flat-tip screwdriver to a Milwaukee 18v driver. They can both drive a slotted screw, and one will last longer than the other even if both are...

These Top New Trucks and SUVs Like Toyota Tacoma Aren’t Selling, According to Study

I have wanted the Canyon since it came out but those twins seem to have quite a lot of issues. Mostly electrical. I'm hoping the 26s fair better.

    Light-weight oils - which is thicker 5W30 or 0W40?

Makes perfect sense. 5w used to be the oil of choice in the winter over 10w. Still is for smaller stuff like ATVs. Many manufacturers of those rate 10w is good down to 0F, 5w if you go below 0F and 0w is the best. What will really blow your mind, is that the 5w means something completely...

Improved Toyota Tundra Scores Help Toyota Reclaims Consumer Reports Reliability Crown, Despite Engine Failure Recalls

Without doubt, that would be one I'd like to see the actual data on. How many reported and how many had issues. I know they don't look at any older MYs, so they had to receive that much negative data just on 2025s. Granted, it does follow the theory that everyone repeats, "First MY of a new...
