Livestream with the Car Guy Online

Couldn't agree more. It's all perspective. My first new truck was $7500 and did not even come with a rear bumper let alone A/C, power brakes, etc. Airbags? Unheard of. My second new truck was 14 years later for $43k and it had a heated steering wheel and airbags at least. Today, the truck will...

Automatic Car Washes Yeah or Nay for your Truck?

Same here. The rust knocked off would just clog the washer's filters and I'd feel bad. I used to care about my truck's looks when it was new and I handwashed it only. Oddly, my town's water is the softest water I have ever experienced. Rinse it on a sunny day and no spots. Then the miles racked...

Livestream with the Car Guy Online

It's just the times we live in. With the amount of YT content, reddit, owner forums, etc. we hear about every single little thing that occurs. And if one owner's story gets repeated, it becomes fact for every other vin in existence. Actually saw a post on reddit today asking if they should...

    Any updates on Heather's Ranger?

Tim, I can't remember if you mentioned it, but does Heather's Ranger have the newly designed bed? The one that doesn't need extra supports installed for more than a 100lbs on the rails? Apparently, any built after Oct 24 have it.

    Toyota Rav 4 outsells F150 in 2024

The Rav 4 is supposed to be all new for 2026 so some will hold off buying one this year. Meaning Ford may be back on top for 2025!...lol

    Toyota Rav 4 outsells F150 in 2024

Apparently the Rav 4 has finally overtaken the Ford F150 for the #1 selling vehicle in America. I didn't realize Ford has held that title for 43 years. I knew it was the bestselling truck but not above everything else. Rav 4 vs F150

Toyota Tacoma Recall: 106k for brake line failure

I think that was the point of the 17" recall. The smaller wheels are obviously a tighter fit and closed the gap to a point where crap built up on the wheel could contact the brake line. The bigger wheel has a bigger gap and they figure it can't build up that much. I get crap building up on the...

Livestream with CTech Reviews with RHO and engineer discussion

I said that, heard "ok" in response, and found the nav set a destination of the nearest Dodge dealer with left over Hornets. Couldn't hit the cancel button fast enough.

Toyota Tacoma Recall: 106k for brake line failure

I think this pic is from an actual affected one. The proximity of the wheel is much closer on this model. Still looks like it would be a rare event for it to get damaged but we know Toyota doesn't take chances. Like with reprogramming after the TFL incident.

No problems? 3rd-Gen 2022 Toyota Tundra with 200k miles

Yeah, I don't know of an uncomplicated way to sort those out. You can pick gas V6, but no option to add "turbo".

Toyota Tacoma Recall: 106k for brake line failure

From pictures they have posted online, it looks like it has a ridiculous length making for a large loop that may rub in the inside of the smaller wheels. At least that's the first thing I thought of when I saw it.

Should parts prices be included in reviews?

You'd also have to include mirrors as they are extremely expensive with all the power functions, puddle lights and now cameras embedded in them. Plus, I'd bet they get damaged more often than lights. A driver's side mirror for a 2024 Ram 2500 Rebel is $1100 and a tail-lamp is $750. Can't imagine...

No problems? 3rd-Gen 2022 Toyota Tundra with 200k miles

Here's a likely suspect in Oklahoma. Autotrader lists 476 Ford 6-cyl from 2010-up with >200K miles nationwide. Of course, one would have to research the history on each to rule out the ones that have turbo/engine replacements. Sounds like a job for a professional YouTuber....:)

No problems? 3rd-Gen 2022 Toyota Tundra with 200k miles

Imagine buying a 200K mile truck knowing you get a free engine. Not a terrible deal at all. It does bring to light that apparently not all the affected engines have "debris" bringing them down.

2024 Tremor 402A vs 2025 Rebel Level 2 your thoughts

Which is funny because you can in the Ram. I was surprised to see the 2.4kw inverter option on the Ram for 2025. Even a V6 Big Horn can have that added. It was one of the features that pushed me back that way from the mid-sized. Granted, the Powerboost can go 7kw but 2.4kw is pretty damn handy.

    Diesel doomsday

It's really going to take more technology than DEF to extend diesel's life in smaller engines. It's kinda like trying to keep using coal.

Toyota Tacoma Recall: 106k for brake line failure

Without a doubt, both are 100% Toyota responsibility. But after suffering from both as manufacturing manager, design is so much simpler to correct. Quality is a moving target and sometimes extremely difficult to get a finger on the root cause. The cheap excuse for that is always "lack of...

Stellantis moving hemi production to the US

Stumbled on this article saying that they are going to move 5.7L hemi production to Michigan from Mexico. Of course, that can be just to provide engines for the Durangos but the article hints of its return to the 1500. Hemi to be built in MI

    Speech therapy

Well, like anything, what you put in is what you get out. If you are satisfied with where you are then great, keep going as you have been. If you feel this would drastically increase your business, pursue it. There may be sources that you can engage that would do evaluations on your speaking and...
