Most reliable truck engines lasting more than 150k miles

Interesting read, thank you for it. I'm impressed by the ecoboost and also the amount of 5.4 triton on the list.

I feel like all of the doors except the driver one locks. But if you lock your doors from the inside, all doors stay lock.

Well in this case, it would be similar to locking your doors and forgetting the key in it. I agree about the handles, during winter these suck and always get stuck because of ice or grime from the road.

As promised here it is with me averaging 19mpg or 12L/100km over that distance.: Total Kilometers Driven = 64,500 (40,000mi) Gasoline Used = 7,968 liters (2,105 Gallons) ($5,704US if average price was 2.71$ per gallon. This is the equivalent of $8,184CAD when converted at the exchange rate)...

    Idea for new feature?

I'd be on board!! This would be awesome if I could completely pull them out of the truck and re-install them easily. Would also be nice to see what outfitters could come up with. This would be a dream scenario for me about 2 months out of the year during hunting season. Pull the back seat out...

Super curious what you think about it. Finally! A normal guy will be able to review one. It`s quite boring listening to tech bros and early ev adopters that are willing to tolerate everything review this truck.

Top 5 common things new truck buyers get wrong on forums/social media

Man the mileage claims are insane and are really frustrating to weed out from comments. People have wild claims like I get 22mpg in my 1998 Ford F350 dually lifted on 37`s all day every day pulling 12 000lbs up the ike gauntlet, this new truck is junk since it`s only getting 20 mpg on the highway.

Top 5 common things new truck buyers get wrong on forums/social media

As a consumer I can now easily look for recalls where as before it was postal service or a friendly dealer shop telling you about it so yes I'm now more aware than before but at the same time there's a correlation between the two even if you need to look at what the recall entails. I think...

Top 5 common things new truck buyers get wrong on forums/social media

This is an interesting idea, but do not be surprise if the internet does not agree with you. I agree, but on top of making the point to not always trust forums, maybe you should focus on ressources that can help you identify problems with a specific car or truck like the car complaints website...

How much is gasoline where you are? I can use my numbers with your price and we can compare. I will also use your numbers when it comes to maintenance except for oil changes as everything in Canada is a lot more expensive. How much is 5 quarts of fully synthetic SAE 5W-30 in the states?

Most reliable new full-size trucks plus expected lifespan

For the Toyota tax, I think is when you compare feature to feature. I can get an SR5 or an F150XLT, but the SR5 will be at a much higher price than the F150, sometimes the Toyota comes with more standard features, but that's where the perceived Toyota tax comes. I think the segment where this is...

Well 2020 was when the gas prices were the cheapest nobody was going anywhere. I paid 60 cents a liter up here ($1.60/gallon), it was beautiful. I now pay $1.40 a liter ($3.73/gallon).

The RAM paradox. They win initial quality award but never the long term reliability. People are impress when everything works great but when the flaws start showing up later down the road well, that's when the horror stories begin.

I agree, but the trend overall is still going up. Major ticket items like transportation, housing and education all went up and eat way more of the budget than before.

It's also a problem of wages not following inflation. If I made $40 000 back in 2000 and now I make $65 000, I lost a lot of buying power as $40 000 in 2000 is the equivalent of $73 000 today.

The think is, you're getting a truck with much much more power, better fuel economy, way more comfort and tech and also much better safety and safety ain't cheap. The base trucks now are sometimes more equipped than a fully loaded 2010 truck. But none of what's mentioned above says that they...
