Ram TRX returns? We’ll likely know June 8

Oh, I agree there is a lot of blame to throw around, but it's your excitement that is giving me hope. My wishes are for Ram to have a body on frame midsized truck that is available in both crew and extended cab configurations as well as a compact truck to go up against the Maverick.

That comment alone makes me happy. It means that Ram is in good hands.

    New engine and vehicle reliability?

What concerns me with these engines, no matter who is the manufacturer, is will they hold up enough for the third and fourth owner? The ones that are working a minimum wage job to support a family instead of having spending money. The ones who need that truck because missing a bus can mean the...

New ILSAC GF-7 motor oil standard boosts engine protection, MPG

As for the oil, I'd love to see a torture test video from Pennzoil with that oil. "We put our new oil in an engine and ran it at 25,000 rpm for seventeen years. The filter melted to the block but the oil still works!"

Thanks. :) I blame the mayonnaise. I never put that on the sandwich before. 😄 Feeling a lot better now. 👍

    Had a slight setback

On Thursday I got something in my eye that ended up scraping it fairly decent in the cornea. It was annoying to the point I used drops and tried to flush my eyes out at the eye station. (Remember to run the water for a bit first to get the rusty water out) It distracted me so much that I...

    The learning curve of podcasting.

Did some blending of the music and special effects to the intro and now feel that I should redo the speaking part of it since it doesn't fit the music right.

    The learning curve of podcasting.

That makes perfect sense Tim. 😂👍 I don't have it uploaded yet. I still have to blend the intro together and edit the episodes. Soon though 😁

    The learning curve of podcasting.

The culture of pickup trucks and their owners. Observations and opinions; stories of great deeds and moments in time; book reviews; model kit reviews; great drives; spotlight on influencers and journalists (like Tim and Jill)... Things like that. Oh, and correcting misconceptions like the big...

    The learning curve of podcasting.

After much encouragement I've been working on starting up a podcast. I created the logo (No third party designers), found some fitting intro music, got the sound effects, recorded the general into, and recorded three episodes. The problem is that these episodes are only five minutes long. 😲...

    EPA killing auto start stop?

Luckily the Autostop/start kinda broke or forgot its job on my wife's Renegade. We like it better that way.

what stuff to keep in vehicle?

First aid kit (minor version), Bungees, Rachet straps, tow straps and D ring (For pulling the mower out when my wife gets it stuck in the ditch), one of those red flags, and a spare raincoat because Florida summers.

    Bizarre convo

It could easily be a rumor that other sites use to grab clicks, but with over 131,000 Mavericks sold and 32,000 Santa Cruz sold (What is the plural of that name?), I cannot see Toyota ignoring this market opportunity. They just redesigned the RAV4 and it wouldn't surprise me if they quietly...

    Bizarre convo

Rumor has it that Toyota is going to make a small pickuo for the US market, but it is going to be like the Maverick. Unibody and crewcab.

2026 Chevy Silverado EV Trail Boss revealed as Superman truck

I'd say $27,000 for the Slate after gov discount. $10,000 profit per each F250 sounds about right to me. And your absolutely right about the dealers making the profit on trimflation, but the manufacturers do pad their profits by forcing package choices instead of alacarte options.

2026 Chevy Silverado EV Trail Boss revealed as Superman truck

I think the Covid 19 trimflation was the big kick for manufacturers for high profit per unit sold and they've been chasing it ever since.
