    Interpreting sales incentives

It’s another line they can add to the forms to confuse people trying to make a deal. I closed the deal on a trade-in form a company truck last year that involved trading in a truck. The paperwork was more complicated than some of the houses I’ve purchased. Also, the line item fees extras, etc BS...

Would strictly a truck show/event work at our nudist campground?

If I ever see anything like that on a forum, email, facebook, etc, I can't help but think it's some scammer trying to build a rapport with the biggest sucker they can find and then get their credit card info somehow.

    Ridgeline towing

You might want to reach out to your contact at Honda before making the video and see if they can explain it. That should end the argument on how to interpret the owner's manual. Then the commenters can critique Honda instead of you.

Would strictly a truck show/event work at our nudist campground?

I expected this sooner or later. I’m glad you deleted them before I opened the forum this morning and had to see that! It would have ruined my appetite for breakfast 😂

    Rumble?

It's always good to have a backup. Youtube censors so many things it's pathetic and it's getting worse. I also find it kind of funny that people label Rumble as far-right. The only reason it exists is because of censorship and demonetization of selective content by youtube. If you follow...

    Would you buy a t-shirt?

I'm old, plain, and cheap. I don't buy merch unless it's something from a kid trying to fund a field trip or something like that.

What would your dream article/video be about?

My dream video would be one with hidden cameras in the meetings where some of the executive or board decisions are made by automakers. I'd like to know what goes through their minds and motivates them. There are a few examples of videos like this in other situations and other companies. What...

If you want to add a cap or ladder rack, you need to add a load box kit

I just saw this about the bed rail reinforcements. I would agree with TheDo114. I've been through cost cutting pushes to look for things that were "over engineered" several times in my career. You always have to find something every time you go through the exercise. Engineers might not find...

    Hurricane engine has no dipstick

Have you see what they are doing? It's not that uncommon in hilly country. In the Midwest we have lots of steep dirt roads. Not as long a haul as what they did, but I've overheated pickups pulling full loads of hay and tractors more than once at low speed. I like the test they did because I...

    Hurricane engine has no dipstick

TFL just did that low speed towing test they are now calling the Toaster with a RAM 1500. At the end they got a low oil pressure light. I suspect it was the low viscosity oil being really hot and not making the pressure it normally would. However, they pointed out the lack of a dipstick...

Speed limiters mandated in EU produced cars

https://www.autoweek.com/news/a61532276/mandatory-speed-limiters-europe-cars/ This article is a month old, but I'm just now seeing it. I'm sure it won't be long before they are mandated in the US too.

    Chevron overturned

This is a great interview with Neil Gorsuch. He points out a lot of examples of how bloated regulations and laws have become over time. There is a push ins some places to scale back the sheer number of these that I wasn't aware of before. I was also a bit surprised at how few cases SCOTUS takes...

    2008 Ram 3500 gasser vs. 2010 F350 Diesel

If the 6.4 is still running, get rid of it as fast as you can. It's a horrible engine and once things start to go bad, you can't fix them. They are basically throw away engines. Don't take my word for it, just do a bit of research on the 6.4 diesel and you will find out how bad they are.

    Chevron overturned

Lot's of litigation will happen soon. Hopefully the cases are well thought out and don't lead to even more bad case law. Chevron deference was a "pass the buck" approach because both Congress and the courts were lazy. Let's just defer to the experts in the agencies they said. Well, over time...

The Car Care Nut - The Unfortunate Truth TRD Pro Review

It's something new and flimsy. The shock bottoms out on that rubber which pushes on the part that broke. It's not good even with that upgraded part.

The Car Care Nut - The Unfortunate Truth TRD Pro Review

That was the first ICON video I remember watching. I have no opinion on them one way or the other. The new design without a bump stop looks pretty bad to me though. It seems like a trend for things to be made cheaper, thinner, etc. I can't help but think about what I learned when I dug into...

Toyota denying warranty claims - GR Corolla

In my opinion, warranties are kind of like insurance. If you want to get the payout you deserve, you have to fight tooth and nail with the provider. They will deny almost every claim the first time around. That approach saves them a lot of money.

The Car Care Nut - The Unfortunate Truth TRD Pro Review

It's a good review. I wouldn't want that truck at all. I'm into practical and cheap, not expensive and special use. After I watched it, I had a couple of other videos come up in my recommended feed. Both of them are related to bump stops and shock mount failures. They are pretty informative...

Ford Patents System to have YOUR Car Report Speeders to the Police

I watched one of his videos not too long ago and he talked about his background. He's been a Disc Jockey, Tow truck driver, lawyer, law professor, author, public speaker, and now youtuber. Pretty interesting fellow for sure. I also like that he won't do all those paid advertisements in his...
