    Rumble?

Did you link the right article? This has nothing to do with automotive industry. This is about Musk and he's talking about one of his children getting a sex change. I don't think we want to get into that stuff here. I have 0 tolerance for any of the brainwashing of kids and nobody will ever...

    Rumble?

I guess we have different opinions about Elon then. I have nothing but respect for him. He's also going after GARM for acting like a cartel. I don't think people realize what's going on and are quick to jump to conclusions based on what limited media they watch. The video I watched was less...

    $40 Amazon carburetor

My first 4-wheeler was a Honda Foreman 400. It was reliable, but it was fulltime 4x4 and every time I went into the mountains it didn't run right because it was carbureted. I switched to a Yamaha Grizzly 700 with fuel injection and I love it. The new 4-wheelers are so expensive I will probably...

    Rumble?

I actually like that he called them out. More CEO's should do the same. Most of them for years just fell in line with the whole DEI, Blackrock ESG score crap and it's not going well for them. Just look what happened to Tractor Supply, Lowes, Harley Davidson, Bud Light recently.

    .

I vaguely remember TFL doing a video about using a broker a few years ago when they bought a Subaru. I don't know if it's worth it or not. I would recommend finding what you want then dealing with multiple dealerships via email only. I've had my best luck with a small dealership. It was the best...

    Chinese midsize truck - BYD

Pretty impressive for a Chinese product. I am curious how much of the tech is pirated though. If they do build a factory in Mexico, they might sell quite a few in the USA & Mexico given how expensive other midsize trucks are now.

    Recalls and reliability

Personally, I wouldn't buy a new Tundra if someone gave me the money to do it. I'd recommend buying a used truck that's had some time for people to determine if it is actually reliable. New trucks are also wildly over priced right now even with the discounts.

    Gotta Getta Lightning

If you get one, please let us know how you like it after 6mo-1yr. I will always own an ICE truck because I travel across the country often and like to do 8-12 hours in a hitch. However, 90% of the time an EV would work for me going to the store, lake, etc. If they ever get cheaper, I might buy one.

    Modern advertising culture sucks

I just watched another Steve Lehto video about a Ford patent for serving up ads in vehicles on the built in screens and over the speakers. As he mentioned in the video, it's just a patent and Ford may not actually do it, but I wouldn't be surprised if it eventually happens. Everywhere I look...

Props to the TFL crew on this video

Pretty good video. I can relate to the side loading of a winch. If you can't get a straight pull and it bunches up on one side, you have to pay attention and respool or things can go south.

    RIP Autoblog

Just wait until you get a $20 million offer Tim. It won't be so easy to turn down. Think about all the places you could play golf with that money.

    Fitness journey

I don't think there is a one diet. It depends on how active you are, the time of year, and especially if you are trying to cut fat. I'm convinced keto is the best way to cut fat. I'm also not very active anymore compared to when I was younger so if I eat sugars and carbs, the fat comes back...

    Fitness journey

Keto worked like a champ for me. If you are working out you can afford a few carbs I suppose, but your body won't burn fat as long as you give it carbs and sugar to use.

More than half of new light duty vehicles recommend premium fuel..

When I filled up in Tulsa, OK a few days ago it was $2.65 for 87 octane. The no ethanol 87 was $3.15 if I remember correctly.

Just got back from Salmon and Halibut trip in BC

Went to Hakai Pass on the BC coast for a few days. It's a little spendy to fish up there, but it's easy to catch fish. Beautiful part of the world too.

More than half of new light duty vehicles recommend premium fuel..

I've never even heard of needing to turn on the brake controller. It's bizarre to me they would set it up like that. Especially from Toyota when for years they wouldn't even let you open your door without turning off the engine after remote start for "safety" reasons. I'd think accidentally...

More than half of new light duty vehicles recommend premium fuel..

Since the 2011's were the first model year, Ford might have improved them by now. I drove a 2020 ecoboost work truck for a couple months, but any highway driving I did was mostly on the interstate and never needed to floor it to pass anyone on a two lane road that I can remember. If it still had...

More than half of new light duty vehicles recommend premium fuel..

I drove 2 different 2011 ecoboost pickups with the 3.5 twin turbo engine for several years. I ran 87 octane, but if I really romped on the throttle to pass, they would spark knock like crazy. It took a few seconds for the knock sensors to catch up. I don't know what the newer trucks are like...

    Toyota Landcruiser Towing

The one you drove was probably a newer Tahoe then. This was an early 2000's model.

    Toyota Landcruiser Towing

I just watched Andre's video about how the Land Cruiser sucks at towing. There are several things he points out that seem to be easy fixes for Toyota. I don't know why they made so many poor design choices. The only SUV I've ever towed with was a GMT800 Tahoe. It was simple and really no...
