Looks like I'm not the only one. Threads on r/sierra and r/silverado about the app not working.

GMC app not loading account details

Is anyone else having issues with the GMC app? The other day I needed to log out and log back in to work. This morning I'm getting a message that the app cannot load my account details. Loggin out and in doesn't work, nor did reinstalling the app. I haven't tried rebooting the infotainment...

What's new on the 2025 GMC Sierra?

I feel that GM's end game is to make OnStar relevant again by taking away our options. Twenty years OnStar offered options that were not easily available through other means. Since then smart phones have become a viable option for those not wanting to pay GM a subscription. I canceled OnStar...

Regen frequency is likely closely related to the type of driving you are doing. My guess is that someone who drives a lot of highway milage is more likely to see pasive regens which would extend the time until an active regen is required. I'm probably not seeing any passive regens and mine are...

I'm still around, just got caught up in life. For the longest time I was averaging 165 miles between regens. Over the last 6 months I've been averaging 240 miles between regens. No real changes in my driving habits. What did change? There was an ECM update for the 24 LZO and I started using...

    Next-gen 2027 Silverado spied

I was catching up on back episodes of the Car Stuff Podcast when Tom mentioned that some automotive website, I forget which one, was reporting that GM was discontinuing the 3.0L Duramax. Fortunately Jill called shenanigans, saying it was the kind of thing Tim and her would probably have heard...

So have you heard - GMC HDMI exhaust tips.

I was on r/gmcsierra and we were discussing how the HDMI exhaust tips on the 1500 are not actually attached to the exhaust. Someone mentioned, that atleast on the 3.0L, this serves a purpose other than cosmetics. According to the poster the gap between the exhaust and the tip creates a venturi...

I think the difference in milage is mainly do to my driving 90% city/10% highway. On a long highway run I'm averaging 30 mpg. My first oil analysis at 1300 miles everything came back within expectations for an engine that was being broken in. I did another one at 10600 which was a bit high on...

Great idea for a thread. Here are my first year results on a 24 AT4 3.0L Miles Driven: 13,447 Diesel Fuel Used: 583.89 gallons ($2041.64) DEF used: 10 gallons ($40) Oil/Filter Changes: 3 ($65 each, I did 2, the dealer did the 1 free complimentary change) Diesel Fuel Additives: $40 Diesel...

    RHO for Tim

Excellent choice in video games. Nothing beats enjoying a whiskey while smashing the French army.

I just watched the review earlier today. The high iron content for the Archoil was a bit concerning, but as they mentioned likely not typical. My last Blackstone oil analysis, which would have been after I started using Archoil AR6400-D was also high on iron. Not high enough according to...

Thoughts on calling out others media and/or creators

I'd agree that calling out other content creators is a slippery slope. But there are times where it may be beneficial to the community. Recently, one of the tech channels I watch called out a company that was engaged in some pretty shady and misleading business practices. They also called out...

    The highs of YouTube

Interesting video. One thing I did not hear discussed, and maybe it was out of scope, is how will a diesel ban affect the agriculture industry. Agriculture is still a big industry in California. I'm guessing here but I doubt that John Deere and CaseIH are going to be mass producing farm...

25 Ford Maverick getting gasoline particulate filter?

Have you ever measured running time between regens DPFTIM. I see distance comparisons all the time but never running time. I'm curious as to how short distance would compare to long distance running. My average DPFTIM is 435 min

25 Ford Maverick getting gasoline particulate filter?

Pretty good. I drive a lot of short distances and was only averaging 160 miles between regens. I started using Archoil AR6400-D and my distance between regens increased to 200.

25 Ford Maverick getting gasoline particulate filter?

Thats sooner than I would have thought, but agree its inevitable. It will be interesting to see how PF on the gasoline side differs from diesel. Getty seemed to think regens would be less frequent on gasoline. Regens have been pretty seamless for me on the BabyMax. If I didn’t have an iDash I'd...

25 Ford Maverick getting gasoline particulate filter?

According to Getty Garage the 25 Ford Maverick is getting a gasoline particulate filter. To the best of my knowledge this is the first non diesel in the US to get a PF.
