My 14 year old nephew rarely watches TV he is usually watching You Tube videos about Ford Super Duties with 6 liter diesels (he got one from a local wrecking yard and car hoarder that the owner passed away and they are selling everything at scrap prices)
If you have to lift up your truck much the new Harbor Freight off road jack is excellent. it glides right over dirt and sand on my property, and pretty well made too.
The problem with YouTube auto testers is they use the same vehicles on every test, its boring, its always the highest end trims and nothing else, that's surely because the auto makers want to push people to buy these trims but I am not interested.
I remember when I ordered my 2004 Silverado WT...
This bench grinder has been sitting outside for about 40 years or so on the Oregon coast and it still gets used a few times a week, I remember it was in the garage that the roof collapsed before that.
I am not really sold on the new Tacoma with what happened to TFLs Tacoma, I am pretty sure the front differential is the same on an a cheap base model SR as the TRD pro or Trail hunter.
The Toyota tax comes into play here too, as I remember in 2004 my Silverado RCLB 4x4 with rebates ($18,500) was cheaper than a 2004 Toyota Tacoma RCSB 4x4 so I bought the Silverado instead.
I think what the point is people seem to want the Kobe beef of trucks but don't want to pay Kobe Beef price when maybe they should be buying chopped steak.
Why are people complaining about the prices of the top of the line models? those versions are always expensive, if you don't like it buy the base models, all of my trucks are base models and all of my future trucks will also be base models.
Can anyone answer this question honestly? Why is it that having eight SUV or CUV models wont cannibalize each others sales and nine car models (at least that's what I counted on Toyota USA site) wont cannibalize each others sales but we hear endlessly how a smaller pickup will cannibalize Tacoma...
