Ford recalls and tariffs added up to a $36 million net loss for the 2nd quarter of 2025 and the full-year outlook doesn’t look much better. The automaker now expects tariffs impact its finances more severely than initially projected. The company also saw a 22% drop in adjusted earnings before interest and taxes (EBIT), which fell to $2.1 billion. I think we all saw this coming. With the companies doing their best not to raise prices due to tariffs, their lower earnings will reflect that choice. That $100 billion raised so far had to come from somewhere.
 
Ford is still cutting cost like crazy and mentioned being a higher profit margin company at the same time... Ford can eat the cost of the tariffs easily and they can cry me a river for all I care lol.
 
We can look for increased prices across the board. Any extra costs are always passed on to the customer. That’s just business.
Yep. I think they're all trying to see who blinks first. They know the first brand that raises prices will get most of the bad press before the others follow just shrugging to "go along".
