Is the "Ram REV" EREV pickup dead or alive?

It's been nothing but crickets regarding the start of ordering and the start of production of the supposedly-available-in-2026 Ram REV extended-rang EV pickup. the last three major Stellantis/Ram events, starting with Investor Day back in early May 2026, right through all of the major Ram events announcing their new products, not a single word about the availability of the Ram REV EREV.

Does anybody have any kind of reasonably accurate info on whether or not the REV is even mentioned in Ram's production schedules? (frequently union members are made aware of upcoming production schedules)\

I have heard rumors that while Jeep may put the Pentastar 3.6 L V6 in their Grand Wagoneer EREV, Ram decided the 3.6 L wasn't sufficient and is waiting for a rumored new "small V8" of around 4.0 L displacement, possibly a new "small Hemi".

Or is the truth that the EREV Ram REV has also been canceled but the announcement hasn't been made yet. After the hoopla at the Detroit Auto Show in January 2026 (https://moparinsiders.com/production-ready-2027-ram-1500-rev-debuts-in-detroit/), not a peep from either the Stellantis execs at Investors Day or from Tim Kuniskis at any of his reveals for Ram.

My understanding is that the REV is still alive and is going to be considered a 2027 model, not a 2026, so they still have some leeway in terms of when they formally open orders for it. So that's hopeful news. Still, I do wish Ram at least had the courtesy and professionalism to keep better informed those of us who paid $100 back in 2023 to get on the preorder list.

The last they said a peep they basically promised it'd still be out this year...just late enough it'll be a 2027 model and I think there was talk of optimizing when they start producing STLA Frame on the RAM line and the Jeep Grand Wagoneer line making it not so clear which would come first. And some of the vibes of what was getting said as far as that I think could be interpreted as the more demand there is for non-STLA Frame products on a line and what capacity it's running at without running any of that platform through initially could push things out. And I think it's pretty clear RAM and all the Hemi marketing it likely working to keep that line at capacity and even running with max shifts and all the rest to the point it's now super likely Grand Wagoneer will get the 4xe well before RAM Rev hits. So I sorta tend to figure even though Wagoneer 4xe wasn't even part of the whole Insider+ thing it'll be the first product we will get to checkout with this system if we really want to kick the tires on it.

Which to me is a bit not the greatest look if true. Just pushing TRX and other 2027 models out for sale and onto lots before we even get any Insider+ perks is a pretty big burn when we were supposed to have special access to early information and tire kicking...but then maybe have a thing where some other brands model with the same hardware is available to all before us also is just further burn all to sell Hemi's. Like I would be less annoyed personally if they were just more transparent and had some events with pre-production stuff and said it'd be awhile as there is Hemi focus than this general unwillingness to even acknowledge the product at all.
