fender liners

what in the world is the material GMC used on my 2025 Sierra for fenderliners?? All but impossible to clean and keep clean. I see Rough country offers something for the rear but see nothing for the front. These factory ones almost feel like heavy textured cloth

I'm curious if it could be rhino lined over. At least then it could maybe sprayed off better.
I would not rhino line it. Bedliner material is also very hard to clean.

But be aware that if you modify this, you will lose a lot of sound insulation and it will be noisier in the cab.

My new Silverado and my wife's jeep also have the "felt" liners. On the jeep here in Florida I noticed that some sort of green algae/moss was growing on them. I scrubbed them with a wire brush with Dawn dish soap and hosed off . Once dry I them sprayed liberally with Lysol mold and mildew remover. A livable solution I guess. The felt material is actually quite tough.

I sure don't like it---it's a truck, not a Cadillac LOL--I don't expect it to be quiet as a mouse. Every truck I have ever had only had abs/plastic, whatever fender liners and I thought it was fine.
