What did you do today?

Also, had a PR rep for Leitner designs reach out. My wife and I talked it over and I think we are going to add the rack to our F-150. Never done this type of mod before.

Starting a general thread for occasional BS posts.

I'll start. I went to the skin doctor to have a bump on my head removed and skin tags around my eye lids. You bastards watch me on those big-ass TVs now and the skin tag on my right eye must look like its 6 inches big now.

The bump turned out to be cyst caused by an ingrown hair. Doc numbed it, cut it off and put a stitch that I have to have someone remove in 7 days. That sort of hurt.

What really is bugging me is the damn skin tags. Yikes. I've removed some before on my neck, but I don't remember it being like this. He did my entire eye lids on the right side and partially on the left. Basically took, what looked it, a medical version of a canned air bottle. I had to hold my eye lids closed as he zapped them. Apparently, the skin tags will simply fall off tomorrow and my eye lids are going to be red and puffy for about a week. I have the Silverado and Santa Cruz to film. That will be fun on camera. LOL. I think I'll wait until next Monday to film.
That sounds really difficult, man. I hope the eyelid area in particular heals quickly and the swelling subsides before you resume filming. At least the cyst is now resolved.

Eyelids are good. The cyst is still tender-ish. Occasionally I’ll rub my head and is a wth moment.

Spent 4 hours with a Facebook verified account rep that I paid for to get my personal Instagram account back from hackers they took over on Sunday morning. Adding it all up with the various bots that makes it about 10 hours plus. Fun times. I wouldn’t bother but public figure and all. Fun times to lose an entire afternoon

Damn, that sucks. What a PIA. Just another sign of the times I guess.

Took away the "interstitials ads" that's the separate ad page that would open between threads. Let me know if that still pops up for you.

I'm also working with our Ad provider to make the forum easier to scroll.

I had a phone call with our channel sponsor ScreenProTech and he wants to give away some screen protector kits. I'm thinking of tying it into the forum somehow, but I want to make this forum more user friendly before I do that.

I have been spending more time on Tundras.com trying to see how they run it to borrow some ideas. Let me know if you have any thoughts.

Oh and it snowed today. Thank gawd. Just enough to cover the grass. We could use about 10' of snow to get out of this drought.

I bought a 1988 Honda TRX350D Fourwheeler, I have wanted one for quite awhile, it has the solid front axle, its shockingly good shape considering it was a loaner and ranch quad most of its life.

Those are nice!! We still have 2 running. Original engine and transmission. They have been living in the woods permanently for at least 20 years and were never garage kept.

Just exporting the last of a full week of truck comparison videos coming out this morning through Wednesday. You wouldn't believe how much Deja Vu I got listening to myself.

I used my new to me F-150 (3.5L V6) and a variety of press-loan trucks: Chevy Silverado RST (2.7L 4 cyl), the following week I got a Ram 1500 (5.7L V8) and a Toyota Tundra TRD PRO (hybrid) at the same time.

Since I've towed with all the engines that made sense to tow or I've owned a truck from each brand, I figured walk-arounds plus driving impressions/overall thoughts on each brand was the way to go.

Ford vs Chevy was one week. That was easy.

The following weekend, thanks to family events and travel plans, I spent 2 hours doing Ford vs Ram, Ford vs Tundra, Tundra vs Ram. Same spot, pulling one truck in and another truck out. Horizontal and vertical. Photos for website stories. The whole works.

After waiting for a month for a sponsor to get their poop together, I spent yesterday filming 4 separate driving impression videos and the last 8 hours editing and exporting, creating thumbnails and scheduling with early access to members.

Then Monday, I'll start writing up the website copy, edit photos, schedule those out. And I'll also find time to record a podcast.

Do YouTube videos they said. It will be easy, they said...

Took a nap. It was nice.

Oh and also talked to 3 sets of 30 special needs kids about being a social media influencer. Some slept, some asked questions, some played with their hands, some made random noises. It was nice to give back in a small way. My wife gets me involved in these things.
