At the State Fair of Texas, it takes a lot to turn heads—but a 2025 Ford F-250 Platinum with a $100k sticker will do it. Yes, you read that right: $100,560 for a three-quarter-ton pickup. I’ve talked about $100K trucks before, but this was the first time I stood next to one in person that wasn’t a limited-edition or dually. Pickup prices are out of control and unrealistic. MSRP’s (manufacturer suggested ripoff price) are optimistic at best in this economy. I’d be surprised if these don’t end up being heavily discounted to move. My local ford dealer sends me their “price lowered” ads all the time because they don’t sell for msrp in my area.

Toyota swung for the fences with the new Tacoma with increases ranging 8k or more higher than the previous gen for higher trims and after a few months, most dealers had to offer serious discounts, 4+k to get them moving. I negotiated over 7k off of mine.
