We’re all Tim fans here, supporting the person, content and format we like. The opinions that matter most are the next 118k subscribers that aren’t chiming in, because they aren’t here. Ultimately, Tim is a professional. He is very concerned about the accuracy and quality of his content, and...

We bought a 2024 Ford Ranger Lariat! Price, features, specs

Good looking truck, and nice configuration. I would have a hard time deciding between the 2.3 and 2.7. They are both such excellent motors.

Feel like I'm in a cartoon.. 24 Tacoma Rental

The interior of the new Taco is just too bizarre for me. It reminded me of the ‘84 Tercel wagon interior. (~3-1/2 minutes in)

    what would you say now?

Buy whatever scares you the least, interests you the most, and can get a deal you can live with. Then buy a manufacturer extended warranty online for half price. They are all so complicated that something expensive will break by 100k miles. Currently, everyone is afraid of the new Tundras, so...

    RHO for Tim

I’m practically going nuts, and it isn’t my truck. I sure hope you get it by year end, I’m looking forward to your articles and videos on it. The Ram interior is excellent. The SO Hurricane is a stunner. I can only imagine what the HO will be like.

    Based on the Dirt Lines....

I paid ~$1500 for thick PPF, perfectly cut and professionally applied on all forward facing surfaces on my ‘21 F150 before my Alaska trip. That included the lights, bumper, A-pillars, the leading edge of the roof above the windshield … everything but the grill. The only other area I wish I...

    RHO for Tim

I don’t think the 8 speed with the 3.92 rear end is going to be able to compete. Based on my brief experience, that is slightly better than normal. BTW - I stopped at the dealer the other day and a guy was about to leave in his loaded, Black RHO. That truck may lack the violent rumble of the...

TFL Denver 100 MPG Loop New Ram Rebel, AT4X, Tremor

I think the 8 speed and 3.92 rear end make the Ram suck more gas. The 8 speed is a very smooth shifting transmission, but I think the two additional overdrives give Ford and GM an edge. My Ram runs 3-400 rpm higher than my F150 did at the same speeds. It is almost always 2k+ RPM while my F150...

    Hurricane Fuel Economy

I’ll post another tankful at ~5k miles, and if I tow a travel trailer or do something outside of my norm. I’ve done enough to know that this truck will average about 4-5 MPG less than my 2.7 EB in similar driving conditions. With that said, this truck has power and capability significantly...

    Hurricane Fuel Economy

The dealer gave me a tank of premium, so I thought I would keep using it for a thousand miles or so, get a baseline with premium and switch to regular. After 10k I'll try a few tanks of premium again to see if it makes a difference.
